LCSC stocks most of the parts that JLCPCB assembles, but getting one into KiCad means hunting down a symbol, a footprint and a 3D model by hand. LCSC2KiCad is a KiCad action plugin that does it from the part number.
How it works
Click the toolbar button in the PCB editor and type an LCSC number, say C2040. The plugin fetches the part's data from EasyEDA (LCSC's library format) and converts it:
Symbol → .kicad_sym
Footprint → .kicad_mod, with the 3D model linked
3D model → .wrl and .step
Everything goes into one library folder that KiCad finds through a path variable, so imported parts work in every project. Importing a part again overwrites it cleanly.
The missing-symbol case
Some LCSC parts have a footprint but no symbol. Instead of failing, the plugin generates a generic rectangular symbol, taking the pin count from the footprint, so the part can still be placed and wired.

The conversion builds on the open-source easyeda2kicad project. LCSC2KiCad adds the in-KiCad plugin, the overwrite handling, the symbol fallback and fixes to the generated symbols' pin orientation.
